  • Balance pace with results: intervention needs to be taught to mastery.
  • What are dangers of rushing Layer One? CVC pattern is the most common pattern in the language. 
  • How do you know when to move on? There are signs you will see. They are doing it quicker with fewer errors. Students will complain if it is too easy or hard. 
  • How long should you spend in Layer One? As long as it takes for intervention. 
  • Do you need to do every layer one lesson? You need to assess every skill to make sure of mastery.
